But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak any more in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

Jeremiah 20:9

You can hear the deep conflict in the words of the prophet Jeremiah. This man was the bearer of terrible news, chosen by God to deliver a message that would not be popular. But the Word of God is a dominant force inside of a man. When God places His instruction on the heart, it is almost irresistible to do anything but act.

How exciting is it that we have been give the gospel of God! His Word to us in this day and age is a beautiful one to deliver. Does this message of hope in Jesus cause the same fire to burn in your heart? Today would be a great day to thank God we have the privilege of delivering this message. Ask Him to light that fire within you that you feel compelled to share, wearied if you could hold it in.
