Signed & Sealed

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit...—Ephesians 1:13

In the mysterious moment that a man believes there is something that happens. A gift is given of immeasurable impact. While it's hard to capture with human words, the apostle Paul articulates it well. There is a moment we hear the truth about both our sin and God's salvation, and in the act of believing, we are sealed with something unseen—the person of the Spirit. This unseen branding seals our ownership under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and with it comes a blessing a promise of power and everlasting life.

DO THIS: Accept the brand of promise and receive the power you need for today.

PRAY THIS: God, I need your strength today. I recognize my humanness, and it's feeble and weak. But your Spirit is powerful. Be my strength today, according to your promise.
