“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1

The world has plenty of villains, men who execute evil. And the world has plenty of cowards, men who execute evil by doing nothing. The second is often worse than the first because this man sits idly aside armed with the truth and is culpable for doing nothing with it. An ancient Greek Philosopher once said, "A third of people are villains, a third are cowards, and a third are heroes. Now, a villain and a coward can choose to be a hero, but they’ve got to make that choice.”

But cowardice has been one of man's problems since the beginning of time. When a man is empowered with morality and mission and sits idly aside, he's giving power to the wicked forces against him which leads to "aimless pursuits." And these aimless pursuits leave men feeling the weight of fear "fleeing" in every direction. You have experienced the regret that goes with cowardice, why allow regret to continue to control your life? Be brave. Be courageous. Do something "bold as a lion" today for God.

DO THIS: Stop being a coward - be bold.

PRAYER: God, help me to stand up to my friends, boss, family, and even more that inner voice that causes me to shrink back when faith is required. Make me bold.
