Suffering's Coming
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.—Romans 8:18
I like that Paul, the great apostle, recognizes that there is present suffering. He does not deny it or ignore it. He does, however, compare it and consider it. And in comparison, it's net worth, is worth nothing in the light of the future glory for those who believe. And here's the best part, it is guaranteed to be revealed. So live confident in God's guaranteed revelation.
DO THIS: Be confident, sufferings here—but glory's coming.
PRAY THIS: God, help me to live in the present but be even more certain of the future. May I not be distracted by the suffering in this world.
