"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”—Matthew 6:13

We will never be devoid of temptation. There is no easy ride in this journey of faith. It's full of tension. And the tension is found in the trials that produce temptations. Satan, the tempter, will tempt every opportunity he has. And while God allows space for these trials of faith, God seduces no man. "Let no one say when he is tempted, 'I am being tempted by God,' for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one" (James 1:13). Instead, God gives allowances for these trials for reasons of a miraculous delivery. They are testimonies both to personal faith and even more to God's glory. "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).

DO THIS: See the deliverance beyond the temptation.

PRAYER: God, may my trials and temptations give you glory today.
