“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

You will be tempted, it's guaranteed. But it's nothing new and what you experience is "common to mankind." At times temptation will get you down, but the truth is, it has also "overtaken" others - which means you are just like any other guy out there. But "God is faithful" to every promise and one he will not break is "tempting you beyond what you can bear." So cheer up partner and don't let temptations mature into sin that gets you down. if you do sin you can always lean on his grace, but remember when temptation strikes you can also lean on this one guarantee, "he will also provide a way out."  It will require endurance on your part. So show up, take it on, lean on his promise and build endurance today.

PRAYER: God, I often fail when confronted with temptations, but let them not mature into sin today. Give me the endurance I need.
