"And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none." Ezekiel 22:30

This is a pretty sad moment for men. God was looking for just one. Not two, twenty, or two hundred - just one, and "found none." At the moment a man was needed, he was silent, apathetic, and indifferent. It was as if man was disappearing from the earth. And notice God's judgment against the world was against men. And it would be assumed that there were plenty of males around, but what God lacked was not males, he required a man - God's man. This speaks volumes about what it means to become a man.

While you might be born male, becoming a man is the more significant challenge. While you were genetically designed male by God, you must live out this design by becoming the man God created you to be. And God is inviting, challenging, and commanding us to become more than male. He wants men. He wants you. Why not read the statement above as the challenge to be accepted today. God is daring you to trust him, lean on him, stand up for him, and be the one even if you have to do this alone.

DO THIS: Dare to be God's man.

PRAYER: God, help me not to shirk back from the opportunities to "stand in the breach" for you. Today give me one challenge that will draw me out and give me a chance to be your man.
