As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

John 15:9

Jesus revealed to the world the heart of His Father. His heart is pursuing and unrelenting towards us. God demonstrated His love not when we were at our best, but at our worst. We are not acceptable to Him because of something we've done or will do, but because He chose to love us. The Father's heart is not against men; it is for men.

It is not a social norm to tell another man you love him. But what man does not want to be loved unconditionally by another? We know God's love because of Jesus' example. This example is our cue to pass on the Father's love in the same way that Jesus did. This Father's day, be intentional to love those around you in the same way that God loves you.
