The Rock of Ages
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.—Psalm 18:2
There is only one rock. It's not your retirement, health, career, or anything material. These will get rocked, but they are by no means the rock. You can try to seek comfort in them, but they will let you down every time.
But there is one who is the rock; even my rock. He is personal—living and available to all men. He is infinitely strong. He is a fortress to all who seek security and deliverance. Do you need refuge? Stop seeking shelter and salvation in buildings of your own making.
ASK THIS: In what I am trusting, other than God?
DO THIS: Ask someone to pray for your trust in God today.
PRAY THIS: God, I need you. Be my rock today.
