Every man craves eternity. From the onset of life, we invest time trying to cheat death. But we go about our pursuit in such a backward manner. We attempt to resist weakness by growing in physical strength. We try to combat aging by medicating our need for testosterone. We even alter our diet to improve a few fleeting years.
But are these attempts sufficient to resist the inevitable truth that all flesh withers and falls?
Would not your pursuit of eternity better invested in words that come from eternity? Brother, pursue God's Word. The Word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. They are words spoken to us in this temporary place that prepare us for an eternal home.
ASK THIS: Are you investing too much time, money, and energy in the present?
DO THIS: Adjust your investment. Spend a little more time in God's Word.
PRAY THIS: God, give me a craving for more of you and less of this world.
PLAY THIS: Seventh Day Slumber: Eternity.
