We Need Others
And when he [Saul] had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join the disciples. And they were all afraid of him, for they did not believe that he was a disciple. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and declared to them how on the road he had seen the Lord, who spoke to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus.—Acts 9:26-27
Whether you are afraid of people, or people are afraid of you—men need brothers. Brothers to guide us, to protect us, and to back us. The problem is not needing them; it's that we have so few.
Today might be a great day to take a brother under your wing. To call him and let him know you are praying him. That you appreciate him. That you see Christ working in his life. While men fail to do this, consider how it would make someone feel. Or consider how Saul would have felt when Barnabas stepped in and came to his defense. Knowing this, take a step and be a great brother today.
DO THIS: Text or call a brother and tell him how much he means to you!
PRAY THIS: God, may I take one step toward being a great brother today.
