When You Are Tired and Weary

ENGLISH

If you ever felt tired, lonely, and devoid of strength, you are not alone. Daniel feels that way right now at the end of chapter 10. But there is a man of God, an angelic being who has come to be with him (maybe Gabriel), who will give him strength. And he says this:

Then he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come. But I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth: there is none who contends by my side against these except Michael, your prince. — Daniel 10:20-21

Do you know what we learn here? That we are weary because of the spiritual forces battling around us. So if you are weary today, this is why. The root cause of your fatigue reaches beyond human understanding and cannot be fixed with natural solutions. There are enemy princes behind the movements of this world, which are wreaking the chaos that we see in politics, media, education, and the church.

But two great men are fighting. And two are all that we need. Michael and Gabriel the princes of God's people. They will faithfully battle for mankind, side by side, holding back the enemy until Jesus comes.

And do you know what that means for us?

That if they're not going to quit, neither should we. Therefore do your part to stay in the battle. If you ask him, God will come to you to strengthen you as tired and weary as you might be. He will give you strength for the next part of the journey. And in his book, the story is finished. And it declares — God wins!

ASK THIS: Are you tired?

DO THIS: Pray for strength and stay in the battle.

PRAY THIS: God, I am weary, and I need strength.

PLAY THIS:  See A Victory.
