Your Way or His Way

With most things in life, there are many ways something can get done. Often you will lean on human ingenuity, strategy, or creativity to find credible solutions that work for you or your situation. This is because sometimes, not always numerous paths lead to producing comparable outcomes. But Jesus presented a divisive and absolute truth when he made the statement, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This was Jesus' way of declaring that regardless of what path drives you to Him, there is only one way to life eternal, which is an individual decision we all must make—to either accept or reject his way, truth, and life. It's divisive, absolute, and at the fulcrum of every decision you'll make in this life. It is a choice to choose his way over your way. It's to choose a way that seems best to him over choosing "a way that seems best to you." So today choose Christ. His way is better than your way anyway.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."—John 14:6

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death."—Proverbs 14:12

DO THIS: Choose Christ.

PRAYER: God, I choose not to choose my way today. Today I choose you and your best for me.
